525600 minutes ago...(That's one year, roughly)

I was eating breakfast on my wedding day! This has been the best year of my life and I don't think I could be any happier! I am so blessed to be married to this wonderful man!

He works so hard to provide for us, and to take care of me. Thank you to everyone who played a part in our special day, and for staying our friends when we get slightly schmarmy!

Thoughts

Just a short post today...if you didn't guess, I got bored with that dumb challenge! Ha ha! BUT my little brother, Jeffrey DeVon, graduates today. I am SO proud of him! I graduated 5 years ago yesterday(6.6.6 scary right?!). Crazy how fast life goes by. I hope everyone stops to enjoy the little things!

I LOVE having Emily, Jake and Ellie here! I love my family so much and feel blessed that not only was I born into a great family, but married into one as well; they are always there whenever we might need them! Sorry you had to go home today Jake, but I'm really glad Emily and Ellie got to stay...



How could you NOT love that face?!

Devin had a great time in Morrison, CO for the concert! He said it was everything he imagined and more. He, and the rest of the boys made it home safe. Even if my car did not :( Hopefully we'll get it picked up soon. If anyone knows how to replace/repair a cylinder and gasket, we'd REALLY appreciate it. I did surprisingly well staying home by myself(For the first time in MY LIFE! No Joke) I didn't even think there were ghosts in the apartment, mostly because I didn't watch Zac and the gang on "Ghost Adventures". It also helped being able to go over to my parents and hang out with everyone.

I don't even feel like it should be the middle of May, I know everyone says that...but I LOVE SUMMER almost as much as my husband. And that is saying A LOT! I try to look on the bright side by thinking about how the rain will help fill up the lakes for boating...but guess what? I think with the amount of rain we've received this year, we've filled the lakes up twice over!

In other news...I just wanted to share a quote with you all from Coz 2011.

Now this quote refers to empty condos...one night, while sitting in the hot tub, someone commented on all the dark condos at the Palmar Condominiums were we stay. So Brant, just wondering why people weren't renting them, asked this question...just had trouble getting it out right! But that sentence was repeated OFTEN throughout the rest of the week, it was awesome!

I'm going to Boise in a few weeks, never been there before! Pretty excited!! Dev is REALLY excited to go to Morrison, CO for the concert...but we also have been to Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico and not a lot of people have spent a week on the island like we have. Its really nice there and I love it!

It is also probably our favorite place in the world cause we got engaged there! Best decision of my life! :)

My family has been to Hawaii and I am DYING to go back! It really is heaven on earth to me! I will make Devin take me there before we die, cause I know he would love it as much as I do!

I was reminded by my sister Emily about our family trips to Lake Powell growing up. I forgot about the trips while writing this blog, but the fact is, I've never forgotten about those trips! They were the best ever! We would always go with our family friends, the Isaac's("Dan the Man" and his father "Jim Bo Billy Bob"), and have an absolute blast! We would watch "Little Rascal's" constantly, sleep on top of Doc's Orders(that was our houseboats name), get wind chapped so bad, we'd cry from the stinging the lotion would cause, cook Lake Powell dinner(teryaki chicken and heavenly potatoes), set up mouse traps for the critters trying to get on the boat, have at least one storm every year where the boat would come loose and howell at the coyotes that never seemed too far away!

Lake Powell is one of the best places on Earth, and if you are one of those tree hugging environmentalists who wants to drain my beloved Powell, I will punch you in the throat! :)

Day 8: YouTube, YouTube

This is a post of YouTube videos! The first one is of Devin and his lil' bro Clayton scuba diving with a turtle while in Coz. Devin had the chance to scuba many times while we were down there and I'm really glad he, along with his brothers + Papa DeMann, were able to have that experience while down there! All while us girls had a great time, on land, enjoying the sun! :)

Now this video could quite possibly be my favorite of ALL time! I laugh hysterically everytime I watch it!

Day 7: Photos that make me happy!

I have a lot of things to be happy for in life...I'm very blessed to have a husband who loves me and provides for me! I have a job that I love, a great family who is always there for me!

Probably the best in-laws in the world (I've heard some scary stories)

And I have a place to live and food in my fridge. I have a happy life...there are things I could complain about, but who wants to read that.

When I first thought of what made me happy...Lake Powell popped into my mind...I love this place...
A-MA-ZING!!

Also...these children make me happy! I only hope that, one day, we will have kids as cute as them!! They are usually well behaved, but let's face it, they are children! :)

And of course, this man probably makes me the happiest! I am so in love with him, it's awesome!! Sorry to be so mushy, but when you feel so grateful to someone, those feelings just spill out. There are plenty of other things that make me happy, but I'll leave it at that for now.





On a side note...Devy and I bought these things over the weekend for our future home.



(My Grandma Lou had one and my mom has one of these clocks and I love them, so glad I found one)
